About Us

USTDA's strategic approach connects US businesses with export opportunities by funding project preparation and partnership-building activities. These initiatives develop sustainable infrastructure and spur economic growth in partner countries.

USTDA accomplishes its mission by funding feasibility studies, technical assistance, and pilot projects that integrate innovative solutions from the U.S. private sector into infrastructure projects at critical early stages when design choices and technology options are identified. The agency's commitment to fostering innovation and excellence is further evident in its efforts to connect overseas project sponsors with U.S. partners through reverse trade missions, industry conferences and expert workshops.

Our Vehicles

Education Grants

Foreign competitors offering incentives that exceed procurement requirements may disadvantage US firms. To ensure equal competitive conditions, US companies may request USTDA to provide a training grant to cover the cost of useful training for the project sponsor. Project Preparation Assistance

USTDA finances feasibility studies, technical assistance and comprehensive analysis of infrastructure projects that need to move from concept to financing and implementation.

Pilot Projects

By testing US equipment and technology abroad, USTDA works to promote the latest US solutions and identify new development opportunities for scalability and repeatability in emerging markets.

Opposing Trade Missions

USTDA brings foreign project sponsors to the US to observe the innovative design, manufacture and operation of American products and services in support of infrastructure development goals.
