As a founding partner of Akarpınar Law Firm, I have been practicing law since 1986.
After completing a one-year study program in the United States through AFS Student Exchange Program during the 1980-1981 academic year, I graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law.
I served as a member of the Adana Bar Association Board of Directors from 1992 to 1994, as Secretary General of the Adana Bar Association from 2002 to 2004, and again as a member of the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2014. During these periods, I worked as the coordinator for the Children's Rights Commission, the Legislation Monitoring Commission, and the European Union and International Relations Commission.
I also held the position of legal member of the Ethics Committee at Çukurova University and served as an instructor at the University of Science and Technology and Çukurova University, teaching courses such as Turkish Commercial Law, Introduction to Law, and Code of Obligations.
From 2009 to 2012, I worked with the Women's Assembly of the Adana City Council to raise social awareness on women's rights.
As a member of the AFS Student Exchange Program Volunteers Association, I actively participate in programs that send students abroad and host international students, providing volunteer consulting services. Additionally, as Akarpınar Law Firm, we maintain active membership in the European Law Students' Association (ELSA), through which we aim to support international law students and contribute to the professional and personal development of our team.
To promote swimming in Adana, I supported the establishment of amateur sports clubs involved in swimming and other water sports and served as a founding member and board member of the Adana Tennis, Mountaineering, and Water Sports Club. I continue to participate actively as a licensed swimmer, competing in pool and open-water swimming races in the "Masters" category. I am also a board member of the Seyhan Municipality Sports Club.
I hold a Mediation Certificate for Legal Disputes and actively continue my mediation work.
